vivian maier was a street photographer from the 1950s - 1960s. this blog is dedicated to her by someone who aquired her negatives at an auction in chicago where she resided most of her life. her collection of work includes over 100,000 negatives, prints and undeveloped rolls of film. her work is real, raw and sometimes reminds me of the "freak" photography of diane arbus.

let the right one In is a swedish film based on vampire fiction novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist. the story centers on the relationship between a 12-year-old boy, oskar, and a centuries-old vampire child,eli. It takes place in blackeberg, a working class suburb of stockholm, in the early 1980s. I am really looking forward to watch this over the weekend.yay. these tapestries are by japanese artist tomoko shioyasu. they are meticulously cut by hand from large sheets of paper by using utility knives and soldering irons. they are so unique, but still reminds me of japanese ink drawings. - charmaine
